Rider Responsibilities
Overview
This article explains what riders are responsible for when using Ridepanda equipment, including proper care, safe use, secure storage, and timely return of the vehicle. It also explains what counts as negligence, when riders may be charged for damage or loss, and how coverage like PandaCare applies.
Rider Responsibilities
Riders are fully responsible for the proper care and safe use of all Ridepanda-provided equipment.
Damage due to negligence: If equipment is damaged due to negligent use while in the rider’s possession or control, the rider is responsible for the associated costs. These charges will be billed to the rider’s account in accordance with our Negligent Use and Pricing for Negligence Repair Items article.
PandaCare covers the parts and labor required for repairs not caused by negligent use. For more information, please refer to our Pandacare article.
Riders are responsible for not losing Ridepanda equipment. Secure your vehicle at all times and follow best practices to help prevent theft. Check out our Lost or Unreturned Equipment Policy and What do I do if my bike is stolen? articles for more information.
Riders must keep the vehicle in their possession for the duration of the subscription and return it promptly once the subscription ends.
Riders may not sell, sub-lease, lend, or otherwise transfer the vehicle or any Ridepanda-provided equipment to another person or entity.
What Counts as Negligence
Negligence generally covers avoidable damage caused by misuse, improper maintenance, or unauthorized modifications. Examples include failing to charge the battery properly, leaving the vehicle in an unsecured area, or continuing to ride with existing damage that worsens the issue. Determination of negligence is at the discretion of our expert mechanics.

FAQs
How do I report damage to may vehicle, and where can I go to have it assessed?
If you vehicle is damaged, you can reach out to support@ridepanda.com for assistance. You'll need to bring your vehicle to one our hubs so it can be assessed.
How will I be charged for the damages?
Riders will be notified of any damage and provided with a work order detailing any repairs made before charges are applied. Once your vehicle is assessed and the damage is determined to be due to negligence, the card on file for your account will be automatically charged for the cost required to complete the repairs.
Is Pandacare reimbursement available for negligent damage repairs?
Pandacare reimbursement is exclusively for local bike shop services relating to normal maintenance and repairs, not negligent damage.
Subscription Eligibility
Rider responsibilities apply to all subscribers (Hub, Direct Ship, Partner Shop Program).
Direct Ship subscribers are not eligible for assistance at PandaHubs as they are not located near our Hub locations.
