Vehicle Won't Turn On

Edited

Overview

E-bike or scooter not powering up? Most of the time it's a quick fix. Run through these checks before reaching out.

Please Note: Stop using and charging your battery right away if it's swollen, damaged, hot to the touch, or smells like burning. Never open the battery or attempt electrical repairs yourself.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Charge the battery. Plug it in and make sure the charger light comes on. Let it charge fully before trying again.

  2. Make sure the battery is seated. If your battery is removable, take it out and click it firmly back into place.

  3. Check the key. If your battery has a key, make sure it's turned to the on position.

  4. Hold the power button. Press and hold the power button on the display for a few seconds.

  5. Check the connections. Make sure the charging port is clean and dry and that no cables look loose or unplugged.

  6. Let it warm up. Batteries may not power on in very cold temperatures. Bring it inside for a bit and try again.
