Buyout Program

The Buyout Program allows subscribers to purchase their vehicles outright. Check out this article for more information on the program and to see if you qualify.

Vehicle buyout is only available to customers who started their subscriptions prior to April 1st, 2024 and have subscribed to a single vehicle with us for 12 months or longer. Buyout price depends on subscription length, with lower the price for longer the subscription.

Please be advised that our vehicle buyout prices are set and we cannot match seasonal discounts or sales that large e-vehicle brands sometimes offer.

Once a bike is purchased, ownership fully transfers to you. At that point, Ridepanda is no longer able to assist with repairs or ongoing maintenance, and since you are no longer an active subscriber, responsibility for the bike rests entirely with you. This gives you full control and flexibility over how and where your bike is serviced.

For your records and peace of mind, the bike’s serial number can be found on the receipt we provided. This receipt also serves as proof of purchase and will be helpful for warranty-related repairs, insurance claims, or any situation where documentation is required.

Warranties do expire and we want to make sure you have resources that will continue to support and protect your bike even after that period. To help protect your investment, some renters insurance policies may offer coverage for bikes in cases of theft or damage. There are also dedicated bike insurance providers available. How does swapping a vehicle impact the buyout process?

Swapping to another vehicle will reset the amount of time you’ve been subscribed with us. For example, let’s say you started your subscription with Bike A and have had it for 6 months. At that 6-month mark, you decide to switch to another vehicle, Bike B. When you make the switch to Bike B, you will lose the months you accumulated with Bike A and will start over from 0 with Bike B.

Do I still qualify for buyout if I swapped to another vehicle after April 1st, 2024 even though I subscribed before April 1st, 2024?

If you qualify for the Buyout Program and later switch to another vehicle after April 1, 2024, you will no longer be eligible for the Buyout Program. You will lose all the months accrued with your previous vehicle that qualified you for the program.

This policy applies to subscriptions that started before April 1, 2024, and have used a single vehicle for the entirety of their subscription for 12 months or more.
