Choosing Your Ride

Edited

Overview

The right vehicle depends on your commute, what you carry, and where you'll store it. This guide walks through what to consider, how to compare specs, and the types of vehicles we offer.

What to Consider

  • Commute distance. Longer rides and hilly routes are easier with electric assist.

  • What you'll carry. Groceries, gear, or kids call for a cargo bike or a rear rack.

  • Storage. If space is tight or you take transit, a folding bike or scooter is easier to manage.

  • Exercise. A pedal bike keeps you moving, while an e-bike lets you choose how hard you work.

Comparing Vehicle Specs

Each vehicle's page on the portal lists its key specs:

  • Max speed: The top speed with electric assist.

  • Max range: How far you can ride on a full charge. Real range depends on hills, rider weight, and how much assist you use.

  • Charge time: How long it takes to charge an empty battery to full.

  • Weight: How heavy the vehicle is. Worth checking if you'll carry it up stairs or onto transit.

  • Max load: The most weight the vehicle can carry, including you and anything you bring. See Bike Sizing Guide [ADD: link once published].
